Rosalie Chilvers supports Ghost Care
Off the back of touring the country with indie darlings The Tullamarines, WA indie rock trio Ghost Care are putting on a massive party to celebrate the release of their new EP 'Oh Positive' at The Rosemount in Perth with mates Polly, Daisy Park and Rosalie Chilvers!
With the release of their new EP 'Oh Positive', Ghost Care have embraced fresh energy as a group – exemplified already through singles including ‘Waiting By The Phone’, ‘Better Off’ and ‘LCD’ – and as an indicator of where the band is heading, the record sits as an entertaining peek behind the curtain. The EP is the first collection of material from Ghost Care since they released their Pedal To The Metal EP in 2022. In the years that have passed, the band’s profile has risen exponentially, headlining venues around the country and continuing to earn their stripes supporting the likes of Spacey Jane, Fool Nelson and Sly Withers in 2025.

Jade Rich supports merci, mercy
Jade Rich supports Alt-pop singer-songwriter merci, mercy today unveils her luminous new single ‘Hold On You’, lifted from her recently announced debut album Don’t Take It To Heart, out on Friday 29th August 2025. Alongside the release, merci, mercy shares a run of headline tour dates for fans in VIC, NSW and WA.
Written when she was just 16, ‘Hold On You’ is an early merci, mercy composition that blends brooding synths, hypnotic rhythms, and her signature ethereal vocals. Describing the weight of longing for someone you know isn’t good for you, the track’s persistent production mirrors the magnetic pull of a toxic crush.
“I wrote ‘Hold On You’ when I was 16 years old in the back of my mum’s car. It was about a boy who I had feelings for but so did every other girl. He wasn’t particularly anything special but for some reason, he just had a hold on me. Liking him was like looking into the sun. You know there is nothing good to come of it, so you try your hardest not to be lured in.” – merci, mercy
‘Hold On You’ follows a string of deeply personal and emotionally sharp singles from the debut LP, including ‘I Bet She’s Really Nice’, ‘Cigarettes In The Dark’, and ‘Unrecognisable’ and ‘Angel’. The singles have received strong airplay from triple j, with ‘Angel’ hitting the #1 most played song, have been supported by the likes of Rolling Stone and Junkee, and have been added to the likes of Spotify’s All New Pop (USA), and Apple Music’s A List Pop.
Michael Day Australian Tour 2025
Michael Day, the indie existential, folk/roots artist, known for tongue in cheek lyricism and folk storytelling is excited to announce the release of his latest A/B single, ‘Shadows and Shapes’.
With the first (A side) single ‘Shadows and Shapes’ available on all streaming platforms from August 26th and the second (B side) single ‘Scars’ released on September the 30th 2025, Michael is celebrating both with a launch and tour this October & November!
“Shadows and Shapes” is an existential track that asks the question ‘What’s the point of all this?’. While the song focuses on the struggle through pain and hardship, it implicitly suggests to hold on to the shadows and shapes of truths and hope that will pull you through it all.
The track leans on Day’s influences such as Josh Pyke, Gregory Alan Isakov and Angus and Julia Stone while still falling into a darker more moody aesthetic. While the elements of Guitar, Bass and Drums drive the track, a soundscape of layered textures, namely banjo, electric guitar, and vocals, holds the track in its universe. Andy Lawson at Debaser Studio is the mastermind behind the production and mix of the track whose majestical talents bring the track to life. While William Bowden (King Willy) adds the extra polish and shine as mastering engineer.
SamFranks_Art designed and created the artwork for the A/B single reflecting the longing and tone of the piece.
“Myself and Ti (my wife) were chatting about the healthcare system, when we had a realization that all it can do for us is keep us around a little bit longer. There’s a hard reality which we must all face. Which kept leading me to ponder ‘what is worth doing?’. It seems there’s an intersection where truth, goodness and beauty must all unite but holding onto those things while in the midst of hardship and pain is a struggle. I was going through some sort of depression a few years ago and that’s when this track was born. For me, it encourages me to find the shadow or shape of truth, goodness, and beauty and hold onto it when in the rough times.”
Since performing on stage with Boy and Bear, Day has a renewed passion for songwriting and performing which he is bringing to a regional and national tour from September through to November 2025. Shadows and Shapes follows in the moody melancholy of Day’s previous releases.
September 9th marks the release of the ‘Shadows and Shapes’ music video written, produced and created by Josh Black and Kai Thompson at Black Horizons Media.
Shadows and Shapes is out August 26th and the total A/B single is released on the 30th of September.

Rosalie Chilvers is back at The Bird to close off her 'Live And In Action' EP Tour with a huge MINIFEST!!
Joined by Liz-Zard, Siena Rebelo, Blush and Shorehaven on September 13th, this will also kick off WA Music Week!
Be prepared for a night of POP, Indie-Rock, RNB with a touch of glitter and romance.
This will be a joyous night celebrating the release of Rosalie's debut EP Don't Play In Traffic.
‘Don’t Play In Traffic’ is Rosalie's first full-length project. It tells stories throughout Rosalie’s teenage years of love, loss and learning. The common theme running through the EP is that no matter what happens in Rosalie’s life, she will write a song about it.
Rosalie has been working towards this for years, slowly writing her stories and developing the pop rock sound she has today. Performing live all over Boorloo helped shape the sound and create this work she is so proud of. When asked about her inspiration for the EP she turns to this quote “I really do try to be a nice person, beautiful you break my heart or hurt my feelings or are really mean to me, I’m gonna write a song about you.” - Taylor Swift
Rosalie’s debut EP ‘Don’t Play In Traffic’ she hopes leaves you feeling ready to take on the world.
This event is strictly 18+
